EU Law Forbids Forcing Private Companies to Engage in Mass Surveillance, EU Advocate General Says

The European Court of Justice (EUCJ) will be making a final determination in the coming months as to whether certain types of bulk indiscriminate surveillance powers are lawful under European Union law. The Advocate General is meant to assist the EUCJ in coming to their decision.
